Stansfield group unveils Chennai plans

The Stansfield School of Business prides itself on its strong academic tradition and the prestige of being the leading provider of University of London's programmes.

Stansfield Group, based in Singapore, has introduced its presence in Chennai, India, with an impressive Rs. 25-crore eight-story complex. Chairman Kannappan Chettiar highlighted that the institution aims to offer an academic environment comparable to Singaporean business schools. The school's luxurious facilities include plush sofas, carpeted floors, and high-quality furniture, underlining their belief that the physical setting influences students' mindsets.

Stansfield prides itself on being a prominent provider of University of London programs, emphasizing its robust academic tradition and association with international management education. The institution focuses on crafting a curriculum that imparts an international perspective to students, aligning its education with global standards to ensure high market value for its graduates.

The school aspires to secure an entry-level salary of Rs. 15,000 for its candidates, positioning its graduates as highly sought-after by multinational corporations (MNCs). With a commitment to 'practice what it teaches,' the institution in Singapore has contributed significantly, producing over half of the 8,000 MBAs in collaboration with the Singapore Institute of Commerce.

Stansfield's course offerings encompass various disciplines, including three-year B.Sc. programs in Mathematics and Economics, Business, Management, Management with Law, Computing and Information Systems, Accounting and Finance, English, and Philosophy. Additionally, there are two-year graduate entry B.Sc. programs available. The school emphasizes the importance of imparting soft skills such as communication, presentation, and spoken English alongside rigorous academic training.

The examination processes are overseen by the British Council, and evaluation is conducted by experts from the London School of Economics. Stansfield plans to establish 20 schools in India and seven in China over the next three years, aiming to tap into large student populations and prepare for the post-WTO scenario when foreign universities are expected to enter the Indian education landscape.

Despite its focus on delivering high-quality education, Stansfield strives to keep costs reasonable, offering courses ranging between Rs. 60,000 to Rs. one lakh per year. The inaugural batch is set to commence on August 1, with a combined intake capacity of 700 students.
